Ian had just come from his room and Bri's as well. He was desperate to give her the one thing that was meant to be given before they left the next day. It was a promise ring. Ian was promising never to leave her and wouldn't do anything wrong with another girl. He was so nervous that he had sweat drops on the back of his neck.
Once he got in front of the lake and as the moon was setting. He was out there rehearsing what he was going to say to her. "Bri, there's something I need to give to you....No that's not it....Uhh..." he would say aloud. He kept pacing the grounds and was making a dent in the grass. Finally, Ian stopped pacing and stood almost still and waited for Brianna to arrive.

Brianna walked down to the grounds. She looked around for Ian and spotted him. She walked over to him. She had the same pants on as early but she had a brown halter top on and a matching brown jacket and her hair pulled back. She bit her lip wondering what was up. "Hey Ian, what'd you wanna bring me here for?" she asked looking into his voids.

"Hey Ian, what'd you wanna bring me here for?"
His attention turned towards Bri. Say something! he said to himself. For a few minutes he stood there spaced out still trying to figure out what to say. Finally breaking out of his trance, "There's something I've been meaning to give you." He reached into his pocket and gave her the ring box. "I hope you like this." he said handing it to her.

She waited for him to speak. She noticed there was a dent in the grass. She wondered what he had been doing. She looked back at Ian. "What do you..." she watched as he pulled a box out of his pocket. She looked at him and took the box. She opened it up and saw the emerald ring. "Oh Ian!" she picked up the ring and looked at it amazed. SHe saw some words on it and looked at them more closely. "Love always, Ian." she felt a couple tears slide down her cheek. "Ian I love it! I love you!" She wrapped her arms around him and hugged him.

"What do you... Oh Ian!'
"It's a promise ring." he choked out. He saw her expression which made him releaved. He was about to pee his pants from the nervousness of her not liking it. He gave her smile that showed his teeth.
"Love always, Ian. Ian I love it! I love you!"
He wrapped his arms around her waist and hugged her back. "I love you too." He said. He took the ring out of the box and slipped it on her finger. Ian was never into buying jewelry unless he knew that the girl would like it. His dad had helped him with the choosing of the ring and everything. "It looks really good on you." he concluded giving her a kiss on her cheek.

"And what're you promising to me?" she asked and kissed his cheek. She kissed him as he said he loved her too. She watched as he slipped the ring on her finger, a perfect fit. She kissed him, "How'd you know Emerald was my birthstone?" she asked. She pressed her forehead to his. She was really happy. She'd never loved anyone as much as she loved Ian.

"I..." he said raising a brow and holding her hand, "I am promising not to love another and that I will never ever leave you." he stated. Ian had never given a ring to a girl. Giving one to Bri meant that he truely loved and respected her. He felt her kiss him. He kissed her back.
"How'd you know Emerald was my birthstone?"
Ian stood there looking at Bri for a little while. "Well, I found it in your diary which is right here." Having said that he pulled her diary out of his pocket. "I saw it on the first page and knew that your stone should be your birth stone." he concluded and gave her another kiss.

She smiled and kissed him, "I like that promise. I'll hold you to it." she smiled. She kissed him again and sighed happily. "It wouldn't have been that romantic on a plane." she smiled.
She looked at her diary he had in his hands. "And when did you jack that?" she laughed. Awww. she thought to herself. She kissed him again. "You're so sweet, and so romantic." she kissed him again. "I loved what you had engraved in it too." She smiled and admired the ring for a moment.

"I told you that it would be less romantic." he smiled. He felt her kiss him. He kissed her back on the cheek. "I'm glad you like it." he sighed happily.
"And when did you jack that? You're so sweet, and so romantic. I loved what you had engraved in it too."
"I took it a while back. I needed it in advance before my dad got down here to come and see me....I've been meaning to give it back to you." He smiled at her mentioning the engravement. He felt her kiss him again. He kissed her back and rested his arm around her shoulders. "I couldn't think of anything sweet to put in there so I just thought of that." he stated. He wondered why he was explaining himself so much. He shrugged it off and started to pull her along to walk with him.

She smiled and looked at the stars. She looked at Ian. "I love it." she looked into his eyes happily.
"No wonder I couldn't find it earlier today." she said thinking aloud. She kissed his hand as he rested it on her shoulders. "Mwah!" she grinned. She looked at him. "You were sweet enough today. The ring, saying I'm your high." she kissed his cheek then is neck. "You were perfect." she said softly. She felt him pull her and walked with him smiling softly.
